I didn't know about that nook - where is it exactly? My bonnet shuts fine with the leads run over the engine and coming out just in front of the wheel arch liner.

There is a gap between the wheel arch liner and wing so plenty of room for the cable, picture doesn't really show it but shows Ctek connected to a S50

The battery on the coupe was dead at the weekend, so I bought an all in one charger, trickle charger and tester.

I removed the battery to get it to 60% charge (so at least the window would shut and I could lock the door)

Would it be safe to charge the battery via the points under the bonnet when I come back to it this weekend?

How long had you left it for? I find mine is still fine after a month.

              Yea that's probably pushing then!

I lock mine with the key in the garage - I think that doesn't set the alarm? Not sure if this might reduce drain a bit.

Problem is it's in the car port so would prefer the alarm on!

                  Is there any daylight?

I remember watching a one of Harry Metcalfs vids where he left an SL for months on end under a cover outside, but with a solar charger on the dash plugged into the cigarette lighter and a little window cut in the cover to let light in.
Admittedly this was somewhere warm, but it was enough to keep the battery topped up.
