BM Sport in Bexley London. Normally they’re quite reasonable, but this seems a lot.

Thanks, that's useful to know as they are not too far from me.
More brake porn here!! Has my wallet twitching, maybe in the future.

BBK are very expensive for a fraction better brakes IMO/IME, plus they usually have some downsides with wheel fitment (need to go bigger) or force use of spacers.
Go with the RS29, they're the best "safe bet" pad out there. They're expensive but they're worth it. I didn't have good experience with DS2500 which caused major judder. EBC Yellowstuff on the rear work well too, but RS29 all round even better. Yellowstuff on the front are "ok" but no comparison to RS29 which will work well with semi slicks.
I very rarely drive my Coupe but when I do, the brakes always impress me. It's standard with RS29 pads and black braided lines. They work great on the road, and are not noisy. I used to have cooling ducting to the disc backplate but took it all off when I refurbed the car.
I do have some Carbon Lorraine RC6 pads that are simply awesome, but extreme in terms of noise and dust. I've got some that are lightly used I could sell.

I found the yellow stuff pads crumbled round the breka in the middle on my last track day with a 2.8 - maybe I'm jsut too harsh on the brakes!

I have a big brake set up front and back and although the coupe is never tracked the braking feel and stopping power is in another league compared to the stock set up even with better pads, just ask anyone who has actually fitted them to a M Coupe or E46 CSL which uses single piston calipers.Last edited by Dave P; 06-02-2021, 11:08 AM.

I used to suffer pad taper with the CL RC6 pads due to the high friction level so ran solid brass guides (instead of the rubber ones). It helped but didn't stop it completely, but it was less of an issue with the rs29. This issue is one of the reasons a BBK with multipot calipers can offer better (straighter) pad wear due to even clamping and less caliper twist. But its not a major issue for the odd trackday.
