Hi just wondered if anyone on here had any experience with Ray West, aka West-Tuning based at Thruxton in Hampshire?

    http://www.west-tuning.com/

I have had them recommended to me by a local tyre centre who saw my car and told me of another in the area which has all work done by Ray West who also specialises in preparing race spec Z3s.

They're not far from me but thought I'd survey the opinion of the collective before venturing down there...

Mixed reviews - I was recommended him (I'm near Bath) around 2015 for some work on my then BMW M6 V10 race car, he had it two weeks after telling me he could map it ' no problem' & returned it without mapping it but had burnt out a CAT - But he didn't charge me anything !!
After relaying this story to a few other race car guys they confirmed similar experiences. More recently I went to view a car (to buy) that had been 'looked after' by them & the owner had left in 'storage' there, it was in an awful state, clearly been outside for sometime & they did nothing to help the sale, in fact did more to not help a sale!
Equally I see on their Facebook page customers love them & think they are great, but I can only speak for my 2 personal experiences.
I would however recommend Reddish in Bristol - they are a superb bunch of blokes & I think others on here have used them with good reports.

      Thanks that's really useful feedback!

Reddish are a company I have heard great things about - but they're about equidistant from me as Munich Legends who I have already used - was just interested to see if there were any more local companies that could at least do the more menial jobs such as servicing, brakes/suspension etc.

I see Brystone near Southampton get good reviews from other forum users so they may be my "go-to" for day to day jobs with anything specialist kept for Reddish or Munich Legends.

      Thanks for replying Doug!
