  • So my first question is.......

I’d like my Mcoupe to make a little more noise. Would you lot recommend either

    A. Replacing cats and muffler with a straight through and xpipe (£600) - probably super sprint one

    Or

    B. Set of back boxes (£1000) - probably Haywood & Scott cos I like their stuff

If the cheaper option gives me enough noise without being too droney then I’d like to keep the oem back boxes

    Anyone done the former etc?

Not done it myself but I think cheapest option is to gut the oem back boxes. Take a look here https://www.z3mcoupe.com/forum/showthread.php?t=15518

I think Gus has just ordered some rear boxes from Haywood and Scott,

Yup they just arrived. No time to fit at the moment unfortunately, also my car is away for a minor tidy up of the sills.

Can take some pics if needed of what has arrived.

Cheers - had Haywood & Scott on my e61 M5 so I know their quality.

I’ll have a look at gutting maybe as well - be good to hear the the H&S when they’re on!
