So just an exciting update for you all. Had the braided hose fitted last week and it's bloody amazing. Changed the whole shifting from cumbersome and irritating to a real joy. The only downside is a slight vibration through the pedal around 3k, but I'm sure I read on here once that that is pretty usual.

I'd have to say that I can't think why changing to a braided hose would cause vibration in the pedal... but I read that too, when I was doing mine, so went with the factory hose from a non-M coupe, which doesn't have the CDV. Lovely and smooth, and no vibration! I could drive all along, it was the clutch...

I think the clutch is somewhat heavier/stiffer in these cars, maybe with an older car compared with new vehicles, mine felt like a tractor when i first bought it,even after a new clutch being fitted as the engine was out, still fairly stiff, braided hose and a Storm weighted gear knob...very nice now !
