  • Fan question

Took my car out today for a winter blast and once started, opened the bonnet just to do a general check and noticed the fan was spinning. I haven’t noticed this before, can anyone let me know if this is normal?

I’d assume the fan would only kick in once temps got high and the radiator needed it etc, so was a bit surprised to see it spinning as soon as I turned the car on.

Drive was great, all temps were fine on gauges, so no running issues. Just a bit puzzled as to why it would spin immediately on start up but hopefully there’s a simple explanation.

Normal for the engine fan to spin all the time but speed varies depending on water temperature other front fan only comes on with the a/c
