  • MOT failed - broken front spring

Well got dreaded phone call from garage doing MOT yesterday - Car has failed!!
Nearside front spring snapped and I’d got a nail in my rear tyre.
The car felt fine on the drive down to the garage so hadn’t realised the spring was damaged. Checked tyre pressures over the weekend so nail (actually a undertray self tapper when I got puncture repaired) must have been picked up on way to garage.
I’ll get springs fitted next week and then retest.

I had a spring broken on mine too a lot year back. Seem to remember having to get it via a dealership as the aftermarket one I originally ordered wouldn’t fit

Every where I looked for springs seemed to be selling lowered springs which I didn't want. Ended up going to my local dealer Cooper BMW, OEM springs due in tomorrow.
