Went for low 40’s with premium.
I did have a look around and given super low mileage it could’ve been a bit better prepped.
Was fun listening to the comments of people though.
Ranged from ‘yeah these are really cool’ to ‘what, 40k for that’..
I thought the most interesting thing was the company it was keeping, sat in a group with Aston’s, Porsche’s a De Tomaso - all sorts of very tasty machinery.
S54 Seca Blue - ACS Short shift and Exhaust. Luverly.
I thought it looked pretty clean but like we were saying, you expect some things to be sorted at this price like the faded badges. But then the car was completely untouched which is also appealing for many buyers I bet.
Glad to see it sold as we were told it hadn't met reserve at the time?, in my opinion low miles sold this car rather than condition as you can always improve a car but never get back to low mileage (legally)
first M Coupe in a while to get a reasonable price at auction and hopefully this result may have a positive effect for other Coupes on sale
I didn't get the chance to do my engine bay inspection on this car but looking at the pictures there are two fairly major and odd issues which hopefully the new owner has spotted -
heat shield is missing from the side of air filter housing and top mounts are either the incorrect part or fitted in reverse? not wanting or meaning to be negative about anyone's coupe but both would need to be sorted asap
Please don't mention these things again. I'm still having nightmares from you peering in to my MCs bay
The engine bay inspection reports from Cumbria and Silverstone shows are just being written as we speak (some are taking a while) so will try and post them up on the forum in the next coupe of days
