No, not run flats. I understand the car originally had the Sport Contact 2's on. Thomas Tyres ordered the 265's for me...they couldn't get the 285/30's to match the fronts and I understand they are nearly double the price, so settled for 265. Best to phone around.. Tiger Wheel and Tyre was nearly R2500 deerer...

Not been driving much...went to visit family over the weekend and unfortunately the other half wouldn't allow the little one to sit in the boot...haha! I don't know if it's the old rubber, but traction control bogs it down a bit in 1st and 2nd...

Continental Sport Contact 2's fitted. Tyres are the "N2" Porsche spec tyres with 265's on the rear. Sits so much better and don't get the Christmas tree light show from the traction control kicking in all the time...

        Suspension help!

Need a bit of help from the guys in the know. My car is currently at BMW dealer as I have excessive wear on the front tyres. Fitted new tyres about 2500km's (1500 miles) ago and the front tyres are shot! Also, the front right tyre has rubbed through the plastic wheel arch cover...

Front tyres at approximately 800km's (note feathering)

Dealer just phoned to say they need to send it to a bodyshop to make some adjustments/modifications to the rear suspension. ALARM bells ringing!! Will the rear setup affect the front??

Any idea as to what the cause could be? Feathering suggests camber and toe settings are wrong/out, but BMW technician says everything is adjusted as it should be. The car had and engine replacement (done by BMW) about 5000km ago and the previous set of front tyres wore out shortly after. Is there any link between engine and suspension that could be the cause?

The car is fitted with the ACS Sport suspension.

Had the car detailed over the weekend...
