C_W - you can just remove the slave, pull the pin out and replace it. It's got no seals on it, there's a plunger it latches into that retains the fluid.
Honestly, if you want to slightly raise the bite point, just buy it. Super easy to do on ramps, but not impossible on the driveway with axle stands. I just gave my garage £30 for half an hour of ramp time.
This has been a problem that's plagued the Z3M, the word needs to be spread that there is a solution!

I must admit my clutch is fine, but it's good that there is the option to fine tune it as it bites lower down than my A3 which bites nearer the top and releases as soon as you start pressing the pedal.
