As per the other thread on headlight switches there is a small panel below the light switch which should illuminate with a key in position I or II - so is not controlled by light switch itself

BMW bulbs are expensive and made by Osram I think but you can pick up packs of ten for around £5 off ebay

As always, a fountain of knowledge Dave. My bulb has blown so I’ll get these ordered. I fully expect 10 to last me for the rest of my life
