Looking to get my drivers seat back to a decent standard and this company has been recommended

anyone in the North West used them?

Found this thread whilst searching for answers; thought I'd use it instead of starting a new thread...

My driver seat gives me a numb arse after half an hour - it needs new foam! Like sitting on a breeze block. Anyone had any joy having their seats renovated/re-upholstered?

Happy new year all, by the way! I might get some miles on the car this year and engage on here a bit more...fingers crossed!

I bought new foam a few years ago but haven't got round to getting it fitted but when I spoke to a couple of automotive upholsterers they said its normally possible to add foam to the existing rather than replace.

It appears the price has shot up on the foam base,

Holy Mary mother of God! How much?! As the Glaswegians would say, "Get ti F**k!..." lol.

I think I'll take my chances with non OEM foam from a reputable independent upholsterer

Any recommendations would be most welcome.

thanks Damien, I have tried the colour lock products which are good but the estoril blue is not a perfect match on my seats

I haven't found a exact match for my 1998 seats but have been trying to find some spare estoril leather to send off to get a colour match,

current drivers seat with Bespoke leathers estoril dye which is closer than others I have tried but not a pale blue as the oem colour

From what I have been told to get the seats looking really matt its best to spray the dye rather than using a sponge but speak to John at Bespoke leathering who is very helpful

I’m about to use Furniture Clinic Matt leather finish on my seats. They were sprayed a few years ago and are a bit shiny. I’ll let you know how it looks afterwards.

One of the boys on the R8 forum used it on his seats damaged by the dealer with some Covid sanitizing spray, it brought them up perfect with a nice Matt finish.
