Looked in the bodywork section, but no luck.
I wonder if it is part of the engine wiring loom as it holds the secondary diagnostics port ? do you need one?

        Hey Dave,

        Hope all good.

Can you tell me what the nickle coloured plate on the right of this picture called Dave? It has a white female plug in the middle of it.
Mines corroded to hell so gonna get it swapped at next service.

Assume the diffs are the same on the S54...

        Cheers,

        David.

          Hi David,

S50/S54 diffs are the same, BMW call the plate a bracket? part number is 33111206076 http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=33_0531 (about £5 from dealers)

I have bought some recently and they still are supplied in the yellow zinc finish but the small 6x10 bolts are now silver if you replace those as well.

                • I have a new old stock (2002) seat back cover and inner foam that I bought a few years ago hoping to get new seat base but still haven't been able to get a decent new or used one.

Think I read that they have to be in the car when I drove to LeMans last year - French law? Rationale being that if you get out of the car to get them from the boot you can’t be seen.
