Via Classicline: "We're sorry, but we are unable to give you a quote online at this time due to the specialist nature of your vehicle."

The car is bog standard, 4000 miles p.a., social domestic and pleasure.

    Not impressed

I didn't even think they did online quotes, I don't think I've ever done it this way as it's as specialised company - it's better to ring rather than get a computer generated quote anyway IMO!

The site told me I should ring, so I just did - after quite a time hanging on.

£360 - for a 60+ aged driver living in Devon, (not exactly high risk), as I said 4000 miles p.a., and not my main car, owning another 2 cars. At that point, I rang off.

I called them after getting that message and they said it's just automated so you'll get that regardless of the car.

Turned out I'm not old enough for them to insure me anyway...

Have you got to wait until you are MisterMiller?

Assume you are under 25? I'm not sure what the age criteria is with ClassicLine, or maybe it varies depending on the car.

Haha, I'm 26 but been with admiral since I got the car. Was meaning to get agreed valuation for a while and went with Adrian flux instead.

Couple hundred quid more than I was paying with admiral but worth it for the valuation I guess.

Got mine with them ( Classicline) three weeks ago, 61 year old, 3000 miles a year, not my main car with social and domestic cover and living in Gloucestershire with agreed value all in £272.

I've just renewed with Classic Line. It's a multi vehicle policy for the ZM Coupe and the 635csi. Both only on 1500 miles per year with agreed valuation.

Combined for both the premium is a little over £500. Not sure of the split but previous years the Coupe has been around £350.00 and the 635csi around £250.00

Agreed valuation on the Coupe is now 50% higher than the valuation I had done two years ago, so a very happy owner indeed!

                      Negative experience with Andrian Flux.
I have only been with them for coming up to 1 year, the first year quote was reasonable with a good agreed valuation. 11months later and time for renewal the premium quote has jumped up by £125…
I have a number of classic cars insured through AF, so was hoping they wouldn't want to loose business but apparently they couldn't do any better when dealing with the underwriters. The best they could do was offer a cheaper insurance but without the agreed value…and there was me thinking that insurance premiums usually go down over the years!

I think I remember most people recommending ClassicLine? So might give them a call.
Or can anyone recommend BMW Car Club Insurance team?

+ the average wait/completion time has never been under 30mins..
