Default new to Forum, considering purchasing a M coupe

Hi,
first post, been a member since I nearly bought an M coupe late last year.
I've decided to buy another car in the next 4 weeks and they are currenlty 2 choices, an M coupe or a VX220 Turbo.
I have a few cars at present, an E39 M5, a F355 and a Saab 9-3 Aero (daily hack) so the next car will be an addition to the colletion.
I've always loved the M coupe and wanted one since they were released, I nearly bought one last year but decided to save for a few more months and buy the Ferrari.
I love the M5 and never want to part with it but it uses so much fuel on a fast drive, it did 12mpg last Sunday and emptied the £90 tank in 150miles. I want a car I can chuck a tent in and speed off to Scotland on a weekend or head to the ring and not have to fuel a 5.0l to do so. I'm well aware an M coupe is not an econimical car however it's not going to be in the same leauge as an M5.
The only thing which puts a question in my mind is do i really want to M cars when I have the oppertunity to run something completely differnet but get the same use out of i.e. a VX220 turbo.
If any one has any experience of both car's or some inspiration for me then I'd be really happy to hear from you.

Thanks very much, Richard.

thanks, useful thread though goes off the rails after a few pages!
Still can't decide what to do. Seen 2 M coupes I really like the look of and 1 VX, guess I need to get out and take a look at them.

Or should I wait another month or so and get a Noble M12..... But then the summer will be over and it will sit in the garage and I wont use it until next year and errrrrr!

I'm doing my own head in!
