  • Clutch hose connection - Earls Etc.

The clutch hose connection on the bulk head sits on a bracket in a rubber washer but should it also have a small metal bracket fitted? not sure if its different on oem clutch hose or Earls stainless etc.

poor picture but you can just about see the metal pipe sitting in the rubber grommet

should it have part #13 fitted to stop the metal pipe sinking into the rubber grommet?

From what I remember when you change from the stock hose the braided one doesn't really fix in the same way, so is kind of just sitting there floating in the grommet rather than fixed inside it. I'm sure it's more like a horse shoe shape that slide in to the standard hose end fitting to secure it in place.

It was many years ago though and I try not to remember the job as it was a frigging nightmare trying to undo the original hose lying on my back in a cold garage
