  • Rear wiper motor

    There is a loud buzz and no movement from my rear wiper, anyone changed one of these? Thanks

      Fitted a new motor to mine. Very easy job. Must have been if I managed it
      Not actually in the least bit fat

      2000 S50 Titanium Silver / Black

          Changed mine myself as well and i'm not too mechanically minded. The motor was/is the same part as the E36 Compact although part numbers on TIS differed Saw no reason to pay 'M' tax and all still working 4 years on.
          ex- 2000 Titanium Silver S50 with AC Schnitzer road suspension, exhaust, rear wing and gear knob
          now 2002 Sapphire Black S54 with black/red interior, S54 Bearing Shell upgrade with ARP Con Rod bolts, Cam shaft bolt upgrade

            Hi Paul, just dug the invoice out mate... £159 incl VAT and delivery from Cotswold BMW (who were doing around 10% discount for another forum I was a member of at the time)

                    Repaired...your saying that..i had to replace mine as the plastic nipple had sheared off...forward a few months...and hey its not working now.Checked the wiring on the left hand side trunk and it has broken down yet again..booked in for Thursday....

                      All fixed now ! new lengths of cable needed,,,shame there is not a separate replacement ready made loom for this....
