  • Radio Code

Hi. We have lost the code for my wife's 99 M roadster Business Cd head unit. I went into Listers BMW today & was told that BMW no longer store the details for radio codes. This wasn't a fob off as the guy showed me the email from the technical people to back this up.
Therefore my question is does anyone know a way around this?
If not this could end up being a problem for many people over time.
Thanks in advance for any help on this.

Lots of companies online who will supply codes from the serial number but you will have to pay £5-£10 normally

I recently had a radio which my BMW dealer couldn't find the code for so after a search I found this site gsm-forum which after registering and posting that I needed a security code I got a reply with the correct code.
