Finally pulling my finger out and getting my M Coupe back on the road in the next couple of days... it's been parked up at work since August 2008 (when I bought the Forester STi) so I'm REALLY looking forward to driving it again!
Had a major upgrade done to the suspension whilst it was laid up in the form of the Ireland Engineering Camber & Toe adjustment plates fitted to the rear beam (will post in a separate thread). Not too bad to get done but it's quite involved in removing the beam and all the old stuff! Fortunately I had he guys at PowerStation helping so with their ramp and tools etc. it didn't take too long to sort.
This now means the car is low but the wheels are straight and level! I had it a little higher before (but still a lot lower than standard) and it just scrubbed the rear tyres in next to no time. With seriously reduced camber the tyres should last considerably better! I've not driven it AT ALL since this mod though so no idea what that's done to the handling... we shall see I guess!
I think it's been lowered a bit more since these pictures actually.
Have also just had a set of FK452's fitted and the wheels refurbished by my local alloy wheel specialist as well. They have done a superb job and I think the finish is indistinguishable from OEM, they go with a black before applying a bright silver so there is the lovely rich shading to the wheels.
I also intend to have a few little scuffs on the bodywork sorted out, sadly as a prelude to putting it up for sale but I intend to put a few more miles on it before it goes
Just getting insurance sorted now (it's around £550ish for me and the wife with no NCB as that's all on the Forester) booked in for MoT tomorrow afternoon and get it taxed Saturday morning... well that's the plan anyhow :)
