I've been very impressed by The Wheel Specialist in Manchester

There was a company in Preston I used called WRC , I've no idea if they are still operating, but they did everything wheel refurbishing related . I got a couple straightened by them , they did it while I waited so I had time to look around and their work looked pretty good to me . The wheels I had straightened balanced up fine .

I used these in the past for both my regular and split rim alloys. Have to say that I wasn't particularly impressed with split rim work. It was ok, but just ok.

Dave, have you looked at Lepsons, I've just Googled "refurb split rims" and they came up as doing split rims. I've never used them so can't comment on quality of work. Problem is they not exactly local to you.

I second who witek suggests. I haven’t had anything done myself but I follow Dan’s Instagram account and his workmanship is brilliant
