  • Three Estoril Coupes; anyone know these cars?

Does anyone know anything about these three cars, I've been to look at the first one, it's an honest car but with a few caveats.

What about this second one which purports to be in great condition, I plan to have a look but it's not down the road for me! Anyone been to look?

There is also this one too:

Thanks in Advance, obviously I will look in detail with my own Eyes, HPI check etc but with relatively few sold in the UK I thought it was worth asking :)

    Hi,
The first one reg VGC I looked at about 6 years ago when I was first looking for an MC. I think it has changed hands a few times since then. The paintwork needed a bit of work and had a few minor dinks, but that looks to have been sorted. If I am not mistaken what seems to have been lost over time is that I am sure it had a full engine rebuild under BMW warranty after about 55,000 miles at a cost of about £10,500 as I remember seeing the invoice. It only had 56k on the clock when I looked at it. I probably should have bought it at the time but it was a private sale and very poorly presented, I made an offer but we failed to agree a price. If the paintwork has been sorted it seems good value at £25k imo.
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers

Thanks very much, yes that sort of concurs with my findings. The front bonnet has a lot of stone chips and will prob need a re spray, and one side has some deep scratches. Was hoping a detailer could work them out but they are quite deep in places, detailers I've sent info to are not sure it can be worked out easily, you can get the tip of your fingernail in it etc.

It had a new short block under warranty at about 62K, I've seen the invoices etc, not a bad thing.

The second car has had a re-spray but it depends on how well and if it hides any past issues.

To add to the mix there is also a Silver S54 for sale that although high miles looks like the owner has looked after it superbly and looks good value; but I'm worried that Silver is a bit dull and I really want Estoril!

              Thanks Dave.

              Some interesting info there.

Good to know that values have softened a little over time, as the TVR Griffith I bought just over 2.5 years ago is also going to sell for less than I bought it for despite spending over £7K on getting an already nice car bang on, going to lose some money etc, it seems a bit more of a buyers market at the moment.

The last one is a bit odd as the MOT history says 35,764 miles expiring 20th 21st May 2020.

Also this car was also listed for sale (according to cazana which searches past ads) in Feb 2014 with 55,000 miles. https://cazana.com/uk/car/63NKR

hmmm.. Could be a legit answer but a bit odd! Could be Sorn and not used since then.

I'm not really a fan of lack of use cars.....
