  • 2002 S54 BMW Z3 M Coupe

    Hello!

I just got this Z3 M Coupe last week. It has 95k miles. The previous owner spent 15k on it last year, doing a full respray, replaced all the glass and seals etc.

Today I dropped it off at https://www.instagram.com/reflections_automotive/

    For:
    • Respray front bumper (has a few stone chips)
    • Respray the little rear wing (it's the wrong colour slightly)
    • Paint the brake callipers black (they're a wonderful rust colour at the moment)
    • Complete PPF wrap
    • Ceramic coating
    • Paint correction

    Current todo list I have:
    • Fix cigarette power port ✓
    • Replace headlight bulb ✓
    • Fit Fire extinguisher.✓
    • PPF wrap (in progress)
    • New steering wheel (I'm tall and legs touch the stock one).
    • KW V2 coil overs.
    • Dyno run and general health check.
    • Powerflex bushes everywhere

Since I'm very tall and my knees touch the bottom of the steering wheel I'm hoping a new one will resolve that. Are there any other tall people on here that have made some adjustments?

I was also thinking of changing the pedals to help.

My steering wheel was retrimmed by Royal Steering Wheels in Aylesbury and I have a flat bottom now. Means at least the wheel doesn’t touch my legs when I’m cruising.

I can thoroughly recommend the Raid wheel and it's slightly smaller diameter. Helps with clearance in any direction, not just when going straight ahead ;)

I believe a few have modified the base of the seats as well to try to help with that issue
Not actually in the least bit fat

Steering wheel looks nice! I sometimes think an intermediate wheel size and thickness would be nice. I have the Raid (330mm?) which can feel really small after driving other cars.

Welcome to the forum, 15K in a year then sold, who that must have hurt.

The steering wheels on the E36 we're always a bit boatish, but they sorted them out with the E46 lol.
