Hey Jon, I'm currently considering camping on the Thursday and Friday nights... any reason why you've opted for Whittlebury rather than the camping promoted by the Silverstone Classic event organisers? I've no experience with either site, and am generally shit at camping so I don't know what I'm thinking

Cost I think! The main one charges you per person and it doesn't matter if it was one night you stayed or 4. So for three of us it would have been £150 for one night. Camping!!! I have stayed at some expensive campsites by the swiss lakes before but even they were only £40 a night.

Whittlebury charges you per pitch and per night, so as we are only staying one night it made sense...we hope! I actually missed out on an electric hook up which I thought might be useful as I left it too late to book (about a month ago).

We are probably going to take push bikes, as my Dad has a bad back which walking doesn't really help. I think a few pints will get him through.

Ah, that makes perfect sense for you guys then. I’m likely to be on my own I think, so £40 for the full weekend at the ‘official’ site seems like a decent deal. Though yours looks posher, ha

I won't be bringing the Coupe as the three of us won't fit, so please feel free to give my display pass & parade lap to someone else /\

I will try and catch up on one of the two days in person.

                Thanks,

                Jon
Jon can you send me your booking reference for the coupe

                    • All this sun had to come to an end eventually...

Still, the BBC can't even get live weather right where I am, so I don't pay any attention to a week ahead.
