      It could be that the garage spilt some dye whilst checking the system ot it could be that's why you needed to have it re-gassed; you have a leak!

        The dryer is there with two hose connections, and the connections to the condenser are not far either, so likely from either of those places and as been said, likely a dye that has been put in before.

              As I know you're all having sleepless nights about this, the A/C still works fine - as does everything else.

              When people are saying it's the dye, are you suggesting there's a leak, and the dye comes out of the system, or that it's not uncommon for some excess dye to be somewhere after a check and regas and show up afterwards?

                I had some visible dye that had leaked from the system but a/c still worked fine and was told that the leak may have cured itself and not to bother doing anything unless the dye returned - never did and system still working
