  • Just damaged my car

Will I be able to get this repaired easily??

I filled up with petrol and was miles away.... screwed the cap on to the car and then went to go and pay!....

but forgot to close the petrol flap and walked straight into it bending it into the car

    ops:

managed to get it to sit straight again but it has left a little ding in an awkward place

I will get a new flap and get it painted but will chips away or similar be able to pull the ding out???

    thanks

it doesnt look to close to the corner of the panel, so it should pull out easy!

Did the same thing about a year ago. It's easy to rebend the flap assembly back into position so that it sits correctly. I am living with the slight ding where it scraped the bodywork until I have a 'joblot' of dings to sort out. Mind you, I have a few already.

I wouldn't worry about it unless it has gone through to the metal (risk of rust).
