  • door glass

    Hi guys,

Is it possible to obtain door window glass for the coupe (Moving part, not quarterlight)?
If so, are there differences between model years, tints etc that I shouls be concerned about.

    Howard.

It is indeed, had to have my passenger door glass replaced a couple of years ago

I doubt there are differences between the S50 and S54 variants of the Coupe
Not actually in the least bit fat

      Cheers Tony,
Did you have it done by a fitting company or buy it yourself?
I intend to fit it if I can obtain one.

Had it done my local M specialist indies Howard, who purchased OEM parts.

I've just dug the invoice out to give you an idea of cost fitted, though it's a little more work than you're having done as the window guide that the drop glass sits in had to be replaced on mine, due to the fact that the window would stick badly as it dropped.

I also had the central locking actuator replaced whilst they were at it because I'd had a few issues with the door lock on occasion, so while they were in there anyway it made sense

          Labour: £103

          Parts:
          Front 1/4 glass and runner - £113
          Window - £103
          Central locking actuator - £71

Prices shown are excl VAT and were from about 4 years ago

            Thanks Guys,
Guess I'll just have to take a deep breath & phone my local dealer. Bought quite a few bits & bobs off them over the last year or so they may give me a reasonable deal.
Just glad there isn't half a dozen different tints to worry about !!
