  • Autocar Buyers Guide

Heads up - this week's Autocar has a feature on buying the ///M Coupe. Nothing really new in it and a shame that they used an incorrect engine picture but good to see promotion of our cars. Notice that the forum gets a 'thanks' too (bottom right of rh page)

Piccie of the article (mods - tell me if I need to remove this)

Really good well written article but let down by the picture of a non M engine and Z3 Coupe. Good for the forum to get a mention

The S54 pictured "Y840 NBL" was the 4th RHD S54 Coupe made chassis no. LC69003 Imola with red/black trim and a press vehicle. Not sure if any other details on it are known but cant remember seeing it for sale or any later pictures.

Of the 4 UK RHD Imola coupes only 2 appear on the forum.

Great pity the writer of the article John Evans didn’t do more detailed background check on the pictures with a company like AnyM or even someone like DaveP on here. I’ll pick up the mag later today.

There should be a Coupe in an Evo mag soon. There was a shout out for a car for a photoshoot. I applied but heard nothing back. Gutted

Yes I saw that, I was ruled out straight away as they wanted any colour but BLACK.

Wonder who's car they used in the end, anyone on here?

The £26,450 S54 coupe (57k miles) the article also references is the one with over 150k on the chassis/body if I remember rightly, so not really representative.

I think for the casual observer these articles are OK, for anyone with a bit of knowledge, not so great. The devil is in the detail.

Its a shame they dont contact a specialist or member off here to proof read it as those red non m photos shouldnt be there either, nor that 2.8 engine.

I guess they spoke to someone as the forum’s got a credit on the second page. Anyone?
