  • Sealing film for rubber bumpers.

    Hello everyone,

I am replacing all of the clear sealing film on my M Coupe that has perished over the years.

I purchased 51711922189 which is 30mm in diameter, but should be smaller like the original fitted to the car. According to a post from Dave P I saw a long time ago it should be ~20mm.

Does anyone know where the 20mm variety can be found? Aftermarket alternatives is fine as long as it is 3M paint protection grade or similar.

    Best regards.

I never found any genuine 20mm foils as fitted originally but the part number may have been 51711916299 . I cut down 30mm foils to replace the ones fitted on the rear hatch opening panel using a craft knife but it wasn't perfect.

        Hey Dave P,

Here is a link to M Registry on the car.

Here is a link to a post on my website about the car shortly after my brother and I purchased it.

It has definitely come a long way over the past couple of years.

New custom seat covers with M8 prototype cloth inserts, new front bumper, etc..
