  • Fitting E36 M tech 2 steering wheel help

I am wanting to fit an E36 m tech 2 steering wheel to my coupe however the wheel I have seen looks to have different mounting points for the slip ring to those of the standard coupe wheel. What do I need to fit it?

The link below shows the back of the E36 steering wheel

      Steering wheel

You might want to check this out

They may have other wheels that would be suitable just make sure they fit slip ring number 32341162111

I will buy from these guys as I want to keep an airbag

I want the M Tech 2 steering as pictured above but as you say I’m not sure if the slip ring fits!

I have decided on this - looks very similar to mtech, definitely fits and has airbag which is important to me.

            Update!

Alcantara MTech 2 steering wheel fitted today(same as pic in op). The tech 2 uses a metal ring on the back of the wheel along with a contact pin in the steering column to operate the horn. I fitted the contact and wired it to the existing horn cables.

There are two horn cables on the standard plug:
Brown and red cable soldered to the contact pin
Brown cable grounded to the steering column

Airbag wire requires a 3.3ohm resistor to keep the light from coming on
