  • S54 Z3M CSL beater for Sale

Before she goes up on classifieds, an early heads up to the forum members, my '02 Z3M in Phoenix Yellow is up for sale. This is a well known and documented car within the Z3M community. Finally, thanks to a significant weight loss and a catalogue of modifications listed below, I now feel comfortable declaring....she is a CSL eater

    The standard details:

    2002 S54
    180k miles
2 Previous Owners: 1st owner, Roger E (who lovingly put 160k motorway miles on her with full BMSH at every interval) and 2nd owner BEN
    MOT until 01/06/2014
    TAX until 30/11/2013

This car is not a stock car. It is now what BMW should have offered as a hardcore track version of the standard Z3M (IMHO of course ) The following modifications to the car have been made:

    Engine

    Replacement 2005 E46 M3 engine with 32k on clock
E46 M3 Flywheel and clutch (from the same donor car)
    Rogue Engineering lightweight pulley's
    Custom ITG intake
    Evolve Modified ECU
    Supersprint rear exhausts
BMW 3.91 LSD (up from 3.15 standard)

    Suspension and Chasis

    GAZ Gold Full Coilovers
Powerflex poly bush kit - Subframe & Trailing Arm done (diff and front wishbone bushes boxed)
    Solid Rear monoball top mounts
    H&R Anti Roll Bars
    Whiteline ARB drop links
Complete chasis overhaul and boot floor repair at BMW Cooper Colchester

    Interior

Brand new Recaro SPGs with modified driver's 'ear'
    Schroth Racing 5 point harness
    Lightened carpets
Fully stripped with all sound proofing removed
OEM trim refitted with Alcantara detail to give OEM 'CSL' look
    Stereo/speaker delete
    OMP Steering wheel
Storm Motorwerks handbrake and gear knob

    Exterior

    Headlight washer delete
    Sidelight delete
AC Schnitzer front flippers (passenger side flipper chipped at the front)
Colour coded door handles and rear spoiler
    Rear wiper delete
    Projector headlights

    Braking

    Lamborghini Gallardo Brembo calipers
    BMW M3 CSL front discs
EBC Redstuff front pads (fitted less than 100 miles ago)
    Braided hoses
    Standard rear brakes
E46 M3 18" alloys (would benefit from a refurb in shadow chrome or black IMHO)

The car had the notorius boot floor failure concerning the spot welds and diff bracket. The faults were identified by BMW Cooper Colchester where a £5000 repair was undertaken all at BMW UK's expense. At the same time the rear of the car was fully reinforced with extra welds and metal plating including the rear subframe, additionally the rear of the car was fully poly bushed and undersealed. Pictures of repair can be provided upon request.

The car has had a replacement engine fitted in 2008 at 173000 miles with a 2005 25k mile engine which included upgraded Rogue Pulley's. The reason for the engine replacement was down to a shell spinning which can be common on early S54 engines. 2003 onwards engines were cured of this fault, a 25k mile 2005 engine was identified and installed.

The engine has been modified by Evolve Automotive with a full custom map tuned on their rolling road. The car as standard delivered 328BHP, this car teamed with modified ITG intake, Supersprint exhaust developes over 339BH.

The suspension has recently been set up and corner weighted by a local BMW and Porsche specialist.

As a final note, I am flat out with work and so please NO time wasters or test pilots. Without wishing to sound militant, I will be doing the driving during any viewing. Serious enquiries only please.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask. Thanks for looking
