3) Breezer. Phase 1, non-perforated, no writing!
4) Racer MXM, smooth, no writing, dual stage airbag
5) Racer MXM, perforated, no writing, single stage airbag
Ok, so is there a code I need to use with Carnwal? I clicked on their site, it only shows "porsche" stuff. So how do I know what to click? My paypal address is different than my 'ship to' address which is in the UK. Can anyone help with this? I could also pay by credit card but would still need help ordering. Basically my Address in the UK re-ships stuff to me in Saudi ArabiaLast edited by racer mxm; 05-08-2012, 11:39 PM.BMW Polygamy

Jonttt, sorry to be a pain, but could you please confirm what we need to order for the DIY approach on 2 stage airbag cars?
Does this list cover it:
1) Raid wheel of choice
2) Z3 hub (same for all models?)
3) Z3 module cable 1220-1 (no longer included with the wheel according to Carnewal. Price 56 euros incl VAT)Last edited by Fat Tony; 06-08-2012, 08:12 AM.Not actually in the least bit fat

Sounds right but not sure of the cable code (mine had a porsche cable but i just cut off the porsche conectors and fitted spade connectors)
If the cable is now seperate and you have to buy it you may as well specify a single or dual stage cable to suit the car. The dual stage one may cost a little more.
It is the same hub adaptor for all Z3s.

Thanks jonttt.
This was posted earlier in the thread. It's a translation of Raid's instructions from Carnewal:
----
Version 1: coil spring for BMW with 2-step generator
Module plug and module cable are fixed together to the coil spring
If the car has this coil spring, it will need to be replaced by coil spring
of picture 2.
BMW part nr 2229488 and costs 130 euro vat incl over here.
In addition the Z3 module cable 1220-1 is needed which costs 56 euro vat
incl.
Version 2:
Cars with M-technic steering wheels have already got the correct coil
spring. You only need module cable 1220-1
----
Also from Carnewal, which may help you make your mind up about what you need chaps:
-----
The Raid airbag cable always comes with the BMW hub.
This is the cable/airbag connector that I said to use for the stage 1.
The special Z3 connector 1220-1 is extra.
-----
I'll PM order instructions on how to order to those of you on the list tonight or tomorrow morning.
Please note that the cable quoted above is in addition to the original price, and that neither the forum or I can be held responsible for what you order, delivery, problems with order etc.Last edited by Fat Tony; 07-08-2012, 03:12 PM.Not actually in the least bit fat

I thought it was the same kit for both, but a bit more DIY involved to fit it to the 2 stage system. Am I wrong? Not actually in the least bit fat

You and me both mate
Have been reassured by the nature of the emails I've received from them though. Seems like a genuine concern. Not actually in the least bit fat
