The original E36/Z3 white washer bottle cap 61661379054 is NLA from BMW and most have yellowed over the years so question is has anyone found a way of restoring a yellow cap back to white?

Yes saw that method also and ordered some of the hair product off ebay, will update with results.

I tried this with my brake fluid reservoir (also NLA) which get quite yellow on the S50 due to lack of heat shield on the exhaust side of the engine bay. Bagged it up in peroxide but it didn't really do anything as the yellowing is all the way through. I think it makes it brittle too.

I was looking through a Facebook page and found that a cap from a Merc fits but not plain like oem unfortunately.
